Nutrition
Fitness and healthy eating go hand in hand, so in conjunction with your new exercise regime it’s a good idea to be thinking about your nutrition too. Regardless of whether you are a professional athlete or a recreational exerciser good eating plays an important part in not only the productivity of your training sessions, but also your energy levels, your mood and your general wellbeing. With Britain having the third highest rate of excess weight in the Western world at 67% of men and 57% of women being overweight or obese, nutrition is also a significant factor in losing weight. As a Personal Trainer a key component of my skills and knowledge is nutritional advice* and after analysing a completed seven day food and drink diary, I can advise generally on how to improve your eating habits.
*The only group of people legally able to give out specific, prescriptive nutritional advice are dieticians who have completed a 4 year degree course.
